Book your guided tour through the fantastic medieval city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber with a native Rothenburg guide.

During your city round trip I will show you secret places, medieval architecture, living culture and other points of interest. On every step history follows you - and joining me will open your eyes for it.

There will be not a lot of facts and figures but interesting stories about Rothenburg and its inhabitants during the last 800 years.

Guided tour including the St. Jacobs Church or the St. Wolfgangs Church or the Old Craftsmans House (entrance fees appr. 2-3 EUR not included)

Walburga tour in english

Follow Walburga, a craftsmans widow searching for her 4th husband on her time journey through the lanes of Rothenburg into the craftsman's house. Learn more about this time around 1500 and go along with her while she is organizing her wedding. Walburga is costumed.

Duration: 60 minutes

Meeting point: townhall entrance (market square)

Price: 120,- EUR up to 25 persons + entrance fee (2,- EUR p.p.)

Start after 8 pm: + 35,- EUR

Natursteig-tour - short or half-day hiking tour

A Walk in the countryside - on a picturesque hiking way starting/ending in Gebsattel (possibility for traditional franconian dining) or as loop road.

Enjoy Rothenburg ob der Tauber from the in- and outside. During the city guided tour You learn more about history, way of living, culture and legends of Rothenburg.

After or before we pass the Wildbad, walk along the river Tauber, up on the hills (Natursteig) to/from Gebsattel.

The longer tour includes the Schandtauber, where I tell You someting about flora and fauna.

If You choose the one-way-tour, You have to organize the return journey by yourself or I instruct You to the shorter way back (appr. 50 minutes)

Condition: middle but proper shoes

Weather conditions: when there is wind (we walk under trees) or more rain (the ways are not paved), only the city guided tour can be conducted - Tour 1 or Tour 2 (see prices above).

Short hiking tour (2,5 hours): 220,- EUR

Longer hiking tour (3,5 hours): 255,- EUR
